Gospel
Jn 17:20-26
“I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become completely one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I desire that those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
“Righteous Father, the world does not know you, but I know you; and these know that you have sent me. I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Do You Have Integrity?
Welcome back to Radical and Relevant. Today's gospel is from John 17:20-26, "I do not pray for these only but also for those who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, even as thou Father art in me and I in thee, that they also may be in us so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The glory which you have given me, I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them, and you in me, that they may become perfectly one so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom thou has given me, may be with me where I am to behold my glory, which thou hast given me in thy love for me before the foundation of the world. Oh, righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you. And these know that thou hast sent me. I made known to them thy name, and I will make it known that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them all and I in them." So again, we have this language of John, which is beautiful language, but you can get lost in some of this language. Remember, we're just looking for a word or a phrase or an idea to anchor our day. The one that jumped out at me, the word and idea, was one, Jesus talking about the unity, the unity between him and the Father, the unity between him and his followers, the unity between his followers and other followers. He's talking about this oneness. He's talking about this unity. And it brings us to think about, is there unity among, within ourselves? Okay. What do we call that? We call that integrity. When a life is put together, when there is unity within a person.
